Philosophy

My Philosophy

My primary focus is individualized plans based on the concept of bio-individuality.  Each person comes to the table with different energy needs, stressors, ancestry, lifestyles and environmental factors.  Our bodies are amazing -so many systems working together to keep you alive and what we eat, digest and absorb can create harmony and healing or throw us out of whack.  Learning how to eat intuitively and allowing yourself permission to eat is where we begin.

No longer allowing the scale and how much you weigh dictate what you’ll consume and learning how to listen to your body and giving it what it needs to bring back vitality is tough work, but the rewards are worth it!

We’ll start by having a conversation and I’ll listen to your story. 

I’ll then send you an invite to my website in Nutri-Q where I’ll ask you to fill out an Initial Interview form (includes your main health concerns, family history and other pertinent facts about you), a Food and Mood Journal (where you write down your foods, etc. for 5 days) and a Nutrition Assessment Questionnaire (lots of questions).  I use these to devise a personalized set of recommendations.  You and I meet to set goals together and see which recommendations you’d like to begin and put together a strategy.  Weekly meetings and follow ups are scheduled and we walk together while learning how your body (head and heart) responds.  You are the driver of your health!

You’ll see and feel improvements from the inside out.  When you give your body what it needs, the systems start coordinating instead of compensating and skin clears, energy levels balance, mind fog disappears, sleep improves and digestion regulates.

What is nutritional therapy?

As a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, I harness the power of real food and empower clients to reconnect with their innate wisdom and unique needs of their bodies, supporting lasting wellness.

How is it different?

Nutritional Therapy is not the same as what dietitians or nutritionists practice.  My approach is holistically healing a person’s body taking into account their main health concerns.  Using several tools that provide a window to view current nutrition, moods, sleep, water and other daily patterns, we implement tailored nutrition and lifestyle recommendations  to help you eat with confidence and freedom.
